EGST Hosted Workshop on “Impact Assessment of Theological Education in East Africa”

EGST hosted a workshop on the theme of Impact Assessment of Theological Education in East Africa held from September 20-23 2016 in Tegan Guest House, Addis Ababa. Organized by the Overseas Council Institute of Excellence in Christian Leadership, the workshop deliberated on issues of building the missions of theological schools, developing tools for impact assessment, training research teams, involving the whole school community in assessment and processing the results of impact assessment within the leadership.

Some eight papers were presented over the week including an action road map on issues deliberated. EGST’s presentation by the Director, Dr Misgana Mathewos focused on Involving the Whole School Community in Assessment. A total of 34 delegates took part in the workshop representing 13 theological institutions from three continents namely Africa, Europe and North America.

It was learnt that EGST launched an Impact Assessment of its outcomes for the period 1997-2015
