He shared how the program started and the achievements of the trainings such as the program being owned by the churches and working in partnership with the zonal leaders who are members of the Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Ethiopia (ECFE).

The visitors were excited by what they witnessed and how God made EGST to have such a great facility from a small beginning. According to a member of the team, “The core values of the school, the mission and vision are of a great source of connection and inspiration for us.”

After visiting campus and watching documentary, the team headed to Holeta where EGST launched a community outreach approach of maternal and child health project. The program is a home based support to mothers and children through a daily house to house visit by experienced and trained women who are called Mentor Mothers.

The team visited different houses in groups with mentor mothers and translators. They appreciated what EGST is doing in the grass roots level, and particularly what mentor mothers are doing. A member of the team expresses, “It takes time to process what I have experienced here. It is just incredible.”
