EGST Donated Food Stuffs in Response to COVID 19

The Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology (EGST) donated foodstuffs to Nifas Silk Lafto Sub City, District 4 on Saturday May 9, 2020. The in-kind donation includes macaroni, pasta, rice, and edible oil worth 100,000 birr.

Rev. Dr Wakwseyoum Idosa, EGST Board Chairperson together with the EGST management team presented the donation to the government officials and community representatives at the District Administration Office. The donation is part of a response to COVID 19 pandemic emergency call by the government. Rev. Dr Wakwseyoum remarked that the donation is an expression of our love to the neighbourhood community at this time of national challenge. ‘Together, we can control the pandemic by observing government regulations and the guidance and teachings of faith leaders’ he emphasized.

EGST Director, Rev. Dr Misgana Mathewos, said that the donation is an expression of our institutional response to neighbour love and government call to stand together in this challenging moment in history.

District 4 Chief Administrator, Ato Tilahun Arega, extended his gratitude to EGST and appreciated the outstanding partnership with the district government and community in different occasions.

Prior to the gift event on Saturday May 9, 2020, EGST community on May 7, 2020 donated blood to the National Blood Bank of Ethiopia.

 

In the previous years, EGST has assisted orphans during the HIV AIDS epidemic, implemented maternal and child health project, distributed nutrition, constructed cobble road for public use, supported the construction of Tesfa Elementary School Nursery, contributed to the Community Policing Station Building, developed roadside greening and city beautification among other things.
