EGST First Semester Opens

The 2020/21 academic year, first semester opened with orientation to new students and corporate worship service on October 5, 2020.

The new students were welcomed and familiarized with the rules and procedures of EGST with the objective to help students to know what is expected of them and what they expect from EGST.

The orientation covered welcome address and an overview of the school by EGST Director, Rev.Dr Misgana Mathewos and EGST Heads of Academic Affairs and Students Affairs.

Introductions were also made on Programme Policies and Procedures, programme leaders, student activities and experiences, administration and general services, services rendered by the Office of the Registrar, as well as library and IT services.

Chaplaincy services and Personal Development expectations were similarly highlighted for the students.

According to the office of the registrar, the number of students enrolled in the current semester is 194 of which 57 are female, and 137 male.

During the corporate worship, Dr. Tesfaye Yacob, EGST board member challenged the audience to be Christ like disciples as stated in EGST mission.  He highlighted the importance of practical life style together with academic excellence.

Rev. Dr. Misgana Mathewos officially announced the opening of the semester with Head of Academic Affairs, Dr. Seblewengel Daniel, Head of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Lidetu Alemu, other faculty members, and different work units.
