Leulseged Philemon is a member of EGST’s faculty has completed his doctoral studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. Before joining EGST, Leulseged taught at the Addis Ababa Bible College for two years and briefly at the Ethiopian Theological College. He also served as a coordinator for Menlo Park California’s Ethiopian mission and worked at SIM Ethiopia.


  • Ph.D. in Constructive Theology – Minor in New Testament Interpretation from Fuller Theological Seminary (2018 In Progress). Dissertation: Pneumatic Hermeneutic: The Role of the Holy Spirit in Theological Interpretation of Scripture
  • MDiv in Systematic Theology from Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology, summa cum laude (2008) with a focus on the doctrine of Scripture and its use in the theology of the Ethiopian Evangelical Churches.
  • B.A. in Bible and Theology from Addis Ababa Bible College, summa cum laude (2000). Thesis: Biblical and Theological Analysis of Ethiopian Church Music

Currently, Leulseged teaches as adjunct professor at ECFC Bible College, Los Angeles, California. His research interests focus on the interdisciplinary space between theology and biblical studies including theological hermeneutics, biblical theology, and pneumatology.
