On October 29, 2022, EGST celebrated the jubilee Alumni Day. The event was celebrated with a gathering of graduates from different years, departments and fields of study. The day included a time of worship, sermon, testimonies, discussion and established the way forward by voting in a committee to reorganize alumni association.
Alumni members participated, introduced each other and shared experiences from different government offices, NGOs, church ministries, and similar engagements. The participants also raised issues to build and help the church and societies through the EGST alumni. Some of the recommendations include the role of the alumni meetings beyond celebrating by creating a strong committee, establishing committed leaders to coordinate the gradautes with their academic and research cases, and the facilitation of testimonies to promote EGST services by electing the transition committee.
Rev. Dr. Misgana Mathewos opened the event in prayer then worship was led by alumni members, Hanna and Asmamaw. Daniel Yilma shared Word of God and Hasset Chenu shared a testimony. The event concluded with a prayer and benediction by Rev. Dr Misgana Mathewos.
The event also created an opportunity for fellowship and networking among alumni members.
