Dr. Adamu is a lay-theologian who is passionate about the church and societal issues, especially concerning women and children. He has over fifteen years of experience working as a clinician, community-based program manager, academician, ethicist, and researcher.
Dr. Adamu has been working at EGST from 2009 as a part-time instructor and course leader for the M.A. in HIV and Theology and later for the MADevS (Gender, Health, and Theology). He is also an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Addis Ababa University, where he serves as founding academic coordinator of the Ethiopian Field Epidemiology Training Program, chairperson for the Non-communicable Diseases and Cancer Epidemiology research group, and vice-chairperson of the Institutional Research-ethics Review Board. Dr. Adamu is an executive committee member of the Ethiopian Medical Association (2015-2017).
