2nd Term begins with fellowship, prayer, worship, and sharing of God’s word

As students gather together for worship every time at the beginning and end of new terms, the fact that the school is blessed with new students who lead in prayer, music, and worship is indeed visible.

As the 2nd term begins, current students led the chapel in prayer and worship focusing on Christ’s redemptive work on the cross.

Research officer at EGST Brother Daniel Yilma spoke from Colossians 1:28, and he stressed the need to do ministry that is, preaching Jesus Christ with passion, strength, urgency, and diligence.

Rev. Dr. Misgana Mathewos introduced the new leadership of the Heads of Academic Affairs (Dr. Seblewengel Daniel) and Students’ Affairs (Dr. Lidetu Alemu). The Rev. also introduced Dr. Leulseged Philemon (lecturer in Systematic Theology, Program leader of PGD and MABTS) and Mr. Aemere Ashebir (Research officer and administrator of Center for Ancient Christianity and Ethiopian Studies). The Rev. said, “EGST is indebted to thank Dr. Desta Heliso for the establishment of Center for Ancient Christianity and Ethiopian Studies here at EGST.”

In his final remark, the Rev. called for the need of prayer to the institution and comments by the community on what to improve and invited all to be engaged more visibly.
