The EGST Council of Owners held its annual meeting at EGST on December 29, 2016. The Council met to hear the annual report of 2016 and annual plan and budget of 2017. Both the annual report and plans have earlier been reviewed by the EGST Board on December 9 – 10, 2016 prior to the Council meeting. The program included prayer, sermon by Dr. Ermias Mamo, EGST Chaplain and the annual report and plan presentation by Dr. Misgana Mathewos, EGST Director.
After deliberating on the report and plan, the Council forwarded recommendations to the EGST Board for further follow up on its implementation. Some of the major issues the Council recommended for EGST Board and Management include the launch of PhD programme, partnership review on current issues, project implementation appraisal, faculty commitment procedures, tax assessment and related agendas.
The EGST Council of Owners is proportionally comprised of six members from EECMY, six from EKHC and three representatives from the ECFE, based on the ownership composition of 40% EECMY, 40% EKHC and 20% ECFE.
