Vital Sustainability Initiative Workshop Completed

A three-day workshop organized by Scholar Leaders International on Vital Sustainability Initiative (VSI) for strategic planning completed from May 1-3, 2019 at the Tegen Hotel in Addis Ababa.

As part of the partnership aimed at developing institutional capacity to sustain EGST mission and strengthen the witness of the Church in society, the workshop focused on reviewing the previous reports and discussed on strategic issues. EGST Board members, faculty and staff attended the workshop facilitated by Emmanuel Bellon, Vice President of Scholar Leaders International (SLI) and team members from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The deliberation focused on key aspects of EGST including its mission, (students, vocation, programs, prophetic voices); faculty development; pedagogy, distance and technology enabled learning; partnership advancement, physical facilities, library collection, finance, and leadership and recommended strategic ways and opportunities to be analyzed for future engagement. The report further indicated potential opportunities and data for strategy planning which was reflected as an input to be considered in future strategy review and planning.

During the closing of the workshop, EGST Director, Rev.Dr Misgana Mathewos extended his appreciation for SLI for facilitating the workshop and recommended that the outcomes of the workshop will be considered in the strategic planning of EGST’s future direction.

The VSI 2.0 Ethiopian Cohort Strategy Planning which was extended from April 29-May 10, 2019 involved Evangelical Theological College, Mekane Yesus Seminary, and Full Gospel Theological Seminary
