Obituary
Dr. Kursie Shefeno, who served the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology as member of the Council of Owners and Board representing the Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church (EKHC) has passed away on August 26, 2020, at the age of 70.
Dr. Kursie passed away suddenly while waiting to travel for medication to India which was postponed because of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Religious leaders, families, and friends of Kurie paid respect at a memorial service held at the EKHC Headquarters on August 27, 2020, and the funeral service at Paulos-Peteros Cemetery.
Dr. Kursie served the church and church-affiliated organizations in different capacities, the latest being as General Secretary of the EKHC. It was witnessed that he has lived a life of prayer, sacrificial commitment, and Christ-like leadership that the new generation to follow will be inspired in following Jesus Christ.
