THE RETURN OF A CANDIDATE

Dr. Leulseged Philemon returns to the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology to serve as a lecturer in Theological and Biblical studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, where he has been working on his PhD in theology. His research interests focus on the interdisciplinary space between theology and biblical studies including systematic theology, theological hermeneutics, New Testament interpretation, biblical theology, and pneumatology.

Dr. Leulseged Philemon completed his PhD studies, under the EGST faculty development plan, and returned to join EGST as full time faculty. With his return, the number of full-time Ethiopian faculty at EGST is now eight.
EGST Director, Rev. Dr. Misgana Mathews welcomed the incoming faculty alongside other faculty members at EGST on 12th of November, 2019.

Before joining EGST Leulseged taught at the Addis Ababa Bible College and briefly at the Evangelical Theological College. He also served as a coordinator for Menlo Park California’s Ethiopian Mission and worked at SIM Ethiopia. Recently, he has been serving as an adjunct professor at ECFC Bible College, Los Angeles, California. Leulseged is married with Fikir and they have three sons together.
Leulseged recently published his dissertation with the title of Pneumatic Hermeneutics: The Role of the Holy Spirit in the Theological Interpretation of Scripture (Cleveland, TN: CPT Press, 2019).
